Fujian will explore a new path of cross-Straits integrated development and build itself into a "first home" for Taiwan compatriots and Taiwan enterprises, according to the report of the 11th Fujian Provincial Congress of the Communist Party of China.

Zhangping, an area that serves cross-Straits exchanges and cooperation, is committed to promoting cross-Straits integrated development, said Ma Guiqiu, Party secretary of Zhangping city, at the 11th CPC Fujian Provincial Congress.

The Taiwan farmers entrepreneurship park in Zhangping has been ranked first in the annual evaluation of 27 Taiwan farmers entrepreneurship parks in the Chinese mainland for five consecutive years since 2016.

"Over these years, we have made great efforts to promote industrial, social and cultural integration by improving the local tea industry, holding cross-Straits cultural activities, and hiring Taiwan compatriots as consultants of rural revitalization," said Ma.

Presently, the park has 82 Taiwan enterprises that produce more than 1,600 tons of tea each year. The park is also the largest alpine oolong tea production base in the Chinese mainland. Zhangping has also held the Cherry Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival for 10 years, during which it welcomed nearly 7 million tourists.
