Industrial development helps lift Fujian county out of poverty
Zhenghe county, Nanping used to be a typical poverty-stricken area in East China's Fujian province. However, the county has undergone tremendous changes since the central government implemented a series of beneficial policies.
Thanks to the government's poverty relief program, 1,794 poverty-stricken households, 6,458 people, and 40 villages had been lifted out of poverty as of April this year.
Relying on its unique advantages, the county has endeavored to develop its modern characteristic agriculture and rural tourism industries, resulting in local residents earning greater incomes and improving their living standards.
