After more than 30 days of hard work, the Fujian medical team dispatched to combat the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei province returned home on March 18, now that the epidemic situation is improving in the hardest-hit city.

The 240 medical workers were sent to assist the epidemic-stricken city in early February, and worked in four mobile cabin hospitals in the city.

During the past month in Wuhan, Fujian medical staff have worked tirelessly to treat patients. By the end, they had reported no deaths or work safety accidents and received zero complaints from patients. No medical staff members were infected and no recovered patients showed signs of reinfection, according to Chen Jie, team leader of the ninth group of medical workers to Wuhan.

Yu Weiguo, secretary of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, spoke highly of the sacrifice and contributions made by the Fujian medical workers in the battle against the disease, saying that they demonstrated the strength and spirit of the "angels in white".
