Fujian strives to become a world-renowned tourist destination

The Global Travel Agents (Fujian) Conference Tourism Promotion of Countries and Regions Along the Maritime Silk Road was held in Quanzhou, a coastal city in East China's Fujian province, on April 17.

The event brought together over 380 representatives of travel agencies from home and abroad, experts and scholars in the cultural and tourism industries, and cultural and tourism enthusiasts.

The event provided a platform for in-depth communication among key travel agencies in China and along the Maritime Silk Road (MSR), aiming to develop Fujian into a "world-renowned tourist destination" and promote the "Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of Maritime Silk Road" cultural and tourism brand globally.

Officials from the Maldives, Morocco, Cambodia, and Malaysia delivered speeches at the event, which is an important event of the 2024 Fujian Provincial Conference on the Development of the Cultural and Tourism Economy.

Leveraging the event, representatives from these countries and regions along the MSR showcased their unique attractions, leading Fujian tourists on a fantastic journey along the MSR.

The event served as a platform for networking and opened up new horizons for cultural and tourism cooperation along the MSR. It also facilitated investment, providing a platform for exchange and cooperation among global travel agencies, showcasing the strong vitality and bright prospects of Fujian's cultural and tourism economy, and fully promoting the development of Fujian into a world-renowned tourist destination.
