To protect and preserve the associated skills, the provincial government is offering support, such as providing free booths for lacquer practitioners at exhibitions held throughout the country.

At the same time, some colleges in Fujian have established majors in bodiless lacquer to cultivate a group of talented artisans who have research, production and and artistic ability.
