The 2025 Fujian Provincial Conference on Cultural and Tourism Economic Development is set to take place in Nanping from April 17 to 19, under the theme of "cultivating cultural and tourism pillar industries".

The conference will feature six key events, including the opening ceremony, a conference on cultural and tourism economic development, and project investment matchmaking for the industry chain. Additionally, there will be 51 optional activities and eight supporting events, such as the Fujian mass square dance finals and the 2025 Xiaohongshu (RedNote) Cultural Tourism Summit.

This year's conference will focus on the following aspects:

Firstly, it will highlight Fujian's cultural traditions by engaging renowned cultural figures like Fan Di'an, chairman of the China Artists Association, in various aspects of the event, showcasing the province's rich cultural heritage.

Secondly, the conference will leverage cutting-edge technologies like AR, VR, and XR to create immersive cultural exhibitions. One standout is the digital tourism performance Moonlight over Wuyi, which will offer visitors a mythological experience through a 270-degree wrap screen.

Furthermore, the conference will align with vibrant holiday periods, with activities planned for the May Day and summer holidays. Participants can benefit from the "Refreshing Fujian" cultural tourism benefit card, which provides discounts across multiple tourism-related services.

A platform for cultural tourism investment and financing will be established during the conference, with a focus on key projects and attracting investments of 200.66 billion yuan ($27.47 billion).

Prior to and after the conference, over 1200 cultural and tourism activities will take place across the province, complemented by more than 120 public benefit initiatives, including consumer subsidies and policies that promote business district development.

The event will bring together esteemed participants and top-tier enterprises to foster collaboration and innovation. By hosting this conference, Fujian aims to boost its cultural tourism sector.
