The 5th Longyan Cultural and Tourism Economic Development Conference took place in Liancheng county, Longyan, East China's Fujian province, on Oct 28.
Longyan's cultural and tourism economy has gained significant momentum in recent years. Moving forward, the city aims to preserve its red genes and history, enhance product offerings, improve business quality, and optimize market services.
Longyan will continue to advance its cultural and tourism economy by emphasizing five key brands, including the Hakka Intangible Cultural Heritage Night and the Retracing the Central Red Army's Long March event.
During the conference, the Longyan UNESCO Global Geopark plaque unveiling ceremony was held. The geopark was recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark in March of this year. Additionally, it boasts eight national and 18 provincial intangible cultural heritage items, such as Minxi Han Opera.
At the signing ceremony, the Longyan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism inked strategic cooperation agreements with renowned enterprises like Tencent Culture and Tourism, Ctrip Group, Tongcheng Travel, and Meituan. Furthermore, agreements for 16 key cultural and tourism investment projects were signed on-site across the city, totaling 3.54 billion yuan ($45.9 million).
