On the evening of Sept 3, a promotion event on Fujian province's autumn tourism products and the Mid-Autumn Festival tourism carnival in Xiamen took place at the Wuyuan Bay in Xiamen's Huli district and the carnival will run until Oct 2.

This year's event features six themed activities, including the opening ceremony, the Mid-Autumn Festival concert, and the traditional bobing experience, which highlights Xiamen's unique intangible cultural heritage of the Mid-Autumn Festival bobing culture, a dice game played during the festival celebrations in Xiamen, to create a vibrant atmosphere.

During the opening ceremony, a stunning display of 1,200 drones formed various shapes like Xiamen University, and Sunlight Rock on Gulangyu Island, Zheng Chenggong, a national hero who expelled the Dutch colonists in 1662 and reclaimed Taiwan, offering a visually captivating experience that underlined Xiamen's charm.

The ceremony also unveiled the 28 most stunning autumn destinations in Fujian, including the scenic bald cypress trees at the Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden.

Additionally, immersive musicals showcased innovative ways to promote Fujian's autumn-themed boutique routes, inspiring visitors to discover the beauty of the province.

Furthermore, the event highlighted the top 10 autumn cultural tour routes in Xiamen, providing opportunities for scenic walks around the island and engaging in traditional Mid-Autumn customs like bobbing.
