The 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) is set to host a special section dedicated to the achievements and prospects of the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project from Sep 8 to 11 in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province.
Last year, China pledged to boost ties with ASEAN countries by working on projects like "Two Countries, Twin Parks" – which consists of the establishment of key industrial parks in both countries for joint development.
The establishment of China-Indonesia and China-Philippines demonstration zones for innovative economic development is well under way, with major progress made in Fujian province.
By establishing key industrial parks such as Fuzhou Yuanhong Investment Zone in Fujian province and Bintan, Aviarna, and Badung in Indonesia, China and Indonesia expect win-win results in areas such as marine economy, food manufacturing, building materials, energy economy, aviation maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), and electronics.
China and the Philippines will focus on bilateral cooperation in food processing, marine fishery, petrochemicals, new materials, new energy, and deep processing of forests and trees.
As an important hub of the Maritime Silk Road, Fujian province boasts unique advantages in bilateral investment and cooperation with Southeast Asia. Both sides are expected to benefit greatly from the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project, which is expected to inject strong impetus into global economic growth.
