Xiamen and Quanzhou in East China's Fujian province made the China Good Life Cities (2022-23) list, which was released on May 5.

Xiamen, a beautiful seaside city, and Quanzhou, a famous historical and cultural city, were honored as one of China's top 10 cities of great beauty and one of China's top 10 tourism cities of yearning, respectively.

The list was based on the China Good Life Survey, which covers more than 1.6 million Chinese households, and is currently the world's largest people's livelihood sentiment survey. It focuses on China's hot tourist destinations and popular places.

As an ecological garden city, a city of innovation and entrepreneurship, and an open city, Xiamen has won many honors such as the National Civilized City, the United Nations Habitat Award and the International Garden City. Three of Xiamen's hot tourist spots are Gulangyu Island, Nanputuo Temple and Xiamen (Wanshi) Botanical Garden, which are among must-see places for visitors in the city.

Quanzhou has been striving to become a model city for the protection and utilization of world heritage sites and has won the honor of 2022 Best City for Integration of Culture and Tourism. The city has a coastline of 541 kilometers and 58.7 percent of its area is covered by forests.
