FCDEDE achieves fruitful results

The 2022 Fujian Conference of Data Elements and Digital Ecology (FCDEDE), a supporting activity of the 5th Digital China Summit, was held in Fuzhou on July 21 with a focus on the data elements market and digital ecology cultivation.

As the highlight of the 5th Digital China Summit, the Fujian Big Data Exchange was officially unveiled at the conference, marking a new milestone for Fujian province to promote the market-oriented circulation of data elements.

Nearly 100 data elements products covering fields like energy, finance, telecommunication, and credit reporting were listed at the conference.

Fujian Big Data Group Co released a 10-billion market cooperation list, focusing on hundreds of major development projects that are intended to digitize Fujian.

A signing ceremony for 100-billion ecological businesses was also held on the spot. Among a total of 348 ecological enterprises, 169 enterprises signed contracts at the conference with an intended investment amounting to 380 billion yuan ($56.19 billion), aiming to build 100-billion digital economy industrial ecology to promote the high-quality development of the digital economy.

At the conference, the 10-billion-yuan Fujian Digital Economy Fund was also launched and will mainly be used to cultivate projects like constructing a digital China and a digital Fujian.

The conference also included launch ceremonies for the Fujian Digital Economy Industry Union, which aims to speed up cultivating knowledge-based, skilled and innovative talents in the digital economy to boost the construction of a digital Fujian, and the national 5G application security innovation demonstration center (Fujian), and an industrial Fujian digital economy ecology alliance.

Chen Chun, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Shi Yong, an academician from the World Academy of Sciences, gave presentations on "core technologies in digital times" and "the development and future of the digital economy".

Representatives from corporate giants such as Tencent and Huawei also discussed and shared their expectations of the digital economy's development.
