To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, a live broadcast ceremony was held at the memorial hall of Hecuo primary school in Siming district of Xiamen on June 2.

The event was co-sponsored by the Cyberspace Administration of the Xiamen Municipal Committee and the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.

Ten micro-videos were broadcast live, with people able to learn more about the red education base and listen to red stories through the videos.

The event also included a "main venue and branch venue" live broadcast room to introduce Xiamen's red tourism routes. In addition, interactive links were set up to provide viewers with an immersive experience of the Party’s history in Xiamen.

Lu Xiuping, head of the Publicity Department of the Xiamen Municipal Committee, noted that Xiamen is rich in local Party history resources and is the birthplace of songs by Chinese Young Pioneers, a national organization for Chinese children.

“It is of great significance to hold a live broadcast in the memorial hall in Xiamen,” Lu said. “Through this event, people can learn more about Xiamen and the great spirit of Party members.”
