The 2020 China Brand Day launched online for the first time on May 10, and ran for two days until May 12, offering a great platform for Fujian enterprises to showcase their latest products and technologies.
Among the 40 Fujian-based enterprises who exhibited online were some high-tech start-ups and well-known consumer brands, as well as some brands showcasing the province's achievements in the construction of an environmentally-friendly society, according to Zhang Fushou, deputy director of the Fujian Development and Reform Commission.
Zhang added that a special display area was set up for enterprises taking part in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, in an effort to showcase the efforts that Fujian firms have made in the global battle against the coronavirus.
The online China Brand Day event was designed to encourage enterprises to foster product brand-building online, due to the rapid development of the digital economy, according to Zhang.
"Compared with traditional offline exhibitions, the online event promotes Fujian brands to a wider audience with various forms," said Zheng Changhong, vice-general manager of Fujian Longxi Bearing (Group) Co.
"The event inspires us to promote the blending of online and offline operations, and pave the way for the normalization of online promotion, which will help expand brand influence and better build up our brand images as we are increasingly shifting our focus to the global market," added Zheng.
Statistics show that Fujian is now home to 1.28 million valid registered trademarks and 510 famous trademarks, as well as 2,295 'Madrid applications' and 74 products names as China Protected Geographical Indication Products, all of which stand at the forefront of the country.
Currently, Fujian has fostered 18 industrial clusters with an output value of over 100 billion yuan ($14 billion), and it has more than 10 regional brands at national-level. Seventeen products produced by Fujian enterprises, such as Fuyao Group and China's leading power battery maker CATL, account for the highest market share in the global market.
