Fujian continuously promotes online government services

Fujian province has accelerated online approvals and services during the COVID-19 epidemic, and more than 220,000 administrative approval items have been handled so far, with the rate of items handled online reaching 96.4 percent, according to local media reports on April 30.

Over the years, the province has further promoted streamlined administration and delegated powers, enabling access via one website and remote processing, so that more matters can be handled without the need to be physically present.

Authorities said that the government has substantially reduced the number of items requiring administrative permits, with 335 administrative licensing matters remaining with provincial governments, helping to establish a more efficient government and an excellent development environment.

The provincial government has rolled out an array of measures to encourage online approvals and services, significantly shortening a project's approval time.

An integrated online government service platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Minzhengtong App闽政通") was constructed to promote the integration and optimization of offline and online government services. More than 700 kinds of government services offering convenience to the public are included on the Minzhengtong App, and registered users can handle government services through it.

An information sharing platform for provincial and municipal governments has been launched, which gathers more than 2,000 pieces of data and documents covering 66 provincial departments.

Government authorities said that Fujian will speed up the integration of online and offline government services, and work faster to build an integrated online platform for government services, offering great convenience to the public.
