300 metric tons of vegetables from Fujian province were delivered to Wuhan, Hubei province on Monday on a special train operated by China Railway, which was carrying special cold chain cargo from Fuzhou East Railway Station.

The Fujian Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs collected 600 tons of vegetables from 12 high-quality producers in Fujian, according to Lin Haichun, deputy station master of the Fuzhou train depot at Nanchang Railway.

Lin said his station responded immediately to the request by drawing up a prioritized transportation scheme for the train.

The station also organized a team of over 30 members to ensure the process went quickly and smoothly.

Another 300 tons of vegetables will be delivered by Nanchang Railway to Wuhan on Feb 18.
