An intelligent robot used for sterilization and disinfection was put into use at Fuzhou Pulmonary Hospital in Fujian on Feb 12.  

The robot, donated by Fujian Gospel Precision Medicine Development Company, has proved to be useful in a number of ways. It can move on its own and disinfect areas frequented by patients and medical workers. 

Compared to traditional disinfection methods, automatic mobile disinfection robots are able to kill some highly pathogenic microorganisms that can cause fatal diseases and are also equipped with ultraviolet sterilization and air purification functions.  

The robot not only reduces the risk of infection, but can improve work efficiency, which will be highly beneficial in the battle against the novel coronavirus epidemic.
