The third edition of the Cross-Straits Youth Exchange Week opened in Zhangzhou, East China's Fujian province on June 19.

More than 120 young people from Zhangzhou and Taiwan carried out on-site trips to Zhangpu and Dongshan counties.

In Zhangpu, they visited a tea museum, learned paper cutting, and held in-depth discussions concerning employment and entrepreneurship with several young Taiwan people in the city.

In Dongshan county, they visited a Taiwan cultural and creative park and several renowned attractions such as Fengdongshi scenic spot and the Temple of Guan Yu, a famous general of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD25-220) who was also from Yuncheng and regarded by locals as a symbol of loyalty and bravery.

Through the visits, the participants were able to experience the unique charm of Zhangzhou traditional culture and deepen their understanding of the city's economic and social development, as well as cross-Straits kinship.
