The 2018 Cross-Straits New Media Entrepreneurship Competition ended in Pingtan on Feb 26, according to local media.
After three contests themed on new content, new marketing and new application and carried out through online voting, 11 ventures entered the final road show.
The competition collected a total of more than 100 cross-Straits outstanding projects since it started in November 2018, including nearly 30 projects from Taiwan.
Mishi won the most widespread new media content award, Chansu won the most competitive new media marketing award and a project on deep compression and enhancement of images and videos based on artificial intelligence won the most innovative new media application award. The winning ones will be supported in project cultivation, expert guidance and publicity and promotion.
A forum themed on cross-Straits new media development trends kicked off on the same day. Cross-Straits experts, scholars and industry representatives shared and discussed the three trends of content production changes in the 5G era and Taiwan youth's new media entrepreneurship in Chinese mainland.
Cross-Straits new media institutions made observations about the development of cross-Straits new media at the forum, exploring the opportunities and directions of cross-Straits new media entrepreneurship and cooperation by comparing their development statuses.
