Festival expands cross-Straits exchanges
The 5th Cross-Straits College Students Creative Culture Festival concluded at the International Conference and Exhibition Center in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Nov 4.
This year's event, consisting of six major parts including a culural and creative forum, a paper art competition and a modern drama week, exhibited the latest achievements of the cultural exchanges between colleges and universities on Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
The ideas of design come from the comparison of similarities and differences, said Guan Zhengneng, vice president of Shin Chien University and judge of Red Dot Design Award, pointing out that the event provides a good opportunity for cross-Straits students to cooperate in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Echoing Guan, Lin Guolong, honorable president of Taiwan Craft Institute and chairman of Shuili Snakekiln Cultural Park, said the festival creates a stable platform for innovative talents’ cultivation, adding that cultural creativity has become a trend in today's world.
The annual festival, launched in 2014, has attracted over 10,000 young people from both sides of th Strait.
