Founded in 1866, Fuzhou Second Hospital is the first hospital set up in Fuzhou and became affiliated to Xiamen University in April 2012. The hospital integrates traditional Chinese and western medicine and excels in orthopedics. With 1,533 inpatient beds, 31 clinical departments and 11 medical technology departments, the hospital serves about 1.5 million outpatients and emergency patients, 50,000 inpatients and performs nearly 30,000 operations annually.
