The opening ceremony of the fourth China International Import Expo (CIIE) kicked off  in online and  offline venues in Shanghai on Nov 4. The expo will run until Nov 10.

A total of 29 Fujian enterprises involving 27 categories of products are displayed in the expo's Fujian Pavilion, including nine time-honored enterprises, 10 tea enterprises, and 10 wine enterprises, according to the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce.

Designed in the local traditional architecture style and layout, the Fujian Pavilion reenacts the beauty of Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, a national 5A-level tourist attraction in the provincial capital Fuzhou. It includes four exhibition areas showcasing the province's comprehensive image, time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage items, and tourism industry.

The Fujian trade delegation will hold 18 supporting activities during the expo, including a meeting to detail Fujian's new opening-up policies, a matchmaking meeting for medical devices, as well as medical and health care procurement in Fujian, and the China (Fujian) - Philippines economic and trade promotion conference.

Fujian will seize the new opportunities in international trade and investment, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, as well as open cooperation brought by the CIIE. It also aims to comprehensively display the achievements made by Fujian in deepening reform and opening up to promote procurement and investment, said an official of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce.
