The 7th Fujian College Students' 'Internet+' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition concluded in Quanzhou Normal University on 26th.

The competition attracted 562,200 participants from 296 universities in Fujian province, an increase of 113,900 participants over the previous competition. About 149,700 projects were submitted, of which 231 made it to the final.

An official from the Fujian Provincial Department of Education said that the competition serves as a platform to display college students' innovative talents and capabilities, and to improve the talent training system so that urgently needed talents can be cultivated.

This year's competition was different from previous editions in that all of the competition processes were carried out online for the first time.

Over 100,000 viewers watched the live broadcast of the competition through online platforms.

The winners will take part in the 7th China's International College Students' 'Internet+' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, which will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, in October.
