A literature workshop in Yongfu town’s Taiwan Farming Park in Zhangping city attracted over 30 writers from all over Fujian province in March.

Yongfu was once regarded as the Chinese mainland equivalent of Ali Mountain - a famous mountain in Taiwan - by Taiwan merchants because of its similar altitude, climate and surrounding industries.

Chen Qingmu, an official from the park, briefed the history and achievements of the park and the city to the writers. The writers then visited local tourist attractions after the workshop, including Yongfu Cherry Blossom Garden, Matsu Temple, Hongding Tea Culture Center and Xishan Folk Museum.

The participants were inspired by local scenery and culture and planned to show the beauty of the pastoral life and achievements of the farming industry by writing poems and essays.

In recent years, Zhangping city has devoted itself to take advantage of ecological resources and promote its rural tourism. It has attracted a large amount of tourists, including writers and photographers, whose works have helped to successfully promote tourism in Zhangping.
