The 2026 China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month Launch ceremony, as well as the Together for Prosperity in Fuzhou: Global Investment Promotion Conference, was held on the afternoon of May 22 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center.

During the conference, officials called for stronger support for investors throughout the entire investment process and invited global businesses to explore new opportunities in emerging technologies and industrial development in Fuzhou.

The conference featured over 1,200 participants, including more than 500 key overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and representatives from over 70 countries and regions. Attendees also included nearly 70 leaders from Fortune Global 500, China Top 500, and China Top 500 Private Enterprises, along with important figures from Taiwan-invested enterprises and Taiwan-based industrial & commercial organizations.

Nearly 80 percent of the attendees came from outside Fuzhou. They discussed hot topics such as the construction of a demonstration zone for cross-Strait integrated development, policies aimed at further opening up the service sector, wholly foreign-owned hospitals, and local investment opportunities for entrepreneurs with roots in Fuzhou. They also shared their experiences in launching projects in the city, highlighting Fuzhou's business-friendly environment and growth potential.

The conference also focused on industries prioritized by Fuzhou for future development, helping connect investors with local business opportunities. Ahead of the event, the city organized more than 200 investment teams to follow up on potential projects and engage with targeted companies and investors. During the conference, Fuzhou introduced 59 major investment priorities across 16 key industries and released a list of 639 investment opportunities valued at more than 920 billion yuan ($134.7 billion).

The 2026 China Fuzhou International Investment Promotion Month and the 28th Cross-Strait Fair for Economy and Trade are running from May 21 to June 21. The program includes the Global Investment Promotion Conference, five major thematic investment events (focusing on overseas Chinese, private enterprises, central and local State-owned enterprises, Taiwan-invested enterprises, and foreign-invested enterprises), and 12 county-level investment events. The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants, with activities spanning multiple industries and a strong international presence. The "Together for Prosperity in Fuzhou" campaign continues to gain prominence, as global investors share in the new opportunities brought by Fuzhou's high-quality development.
