Peixie village has shaken off poverty in recent years by developing agro-product processing and tourism industries. 

Situated in Xiaochi town, Longyan, Fujian province, Peixie used to be a provincial poor village in 1990s. 

The village now houses 50-some companies specializing in producing bamboo and tea products. 

It has also raised funds to develop rural tourism, and more than 80 percent of the villagers are involved. 

Peixie has been conferred with plenty of honorary titles including national beautiful leisure village and national civilized village thanks to its remarkable accomplishments in poverty alleviation and industrial growth.
