With an investment of roughly 2 billion yuan ($ 298.5 million), the park is set to cover an area of 1,120 mu (74.67 hectares) and designed to be a high-end ceramic industrial park integrating functions of business, exhibition, design, tourism, ceramic cultural experience as well as residence.

Construction on its supporting facilities including road, schools and residential communities has already begun and is scheduled to put in use before September next year.

Official data shows that Dehua houses 2,600 ceramic companies and over 100,000 employees. In 2017, the output value of the ceramic industry in the city reached $3.58 billion.
