The Fujian pavilion of the 2019 International Horticultural Exhibition opened to the public in Beijing on June 13.

The pavilion showcased what Fujian is like in four seasons, with the province's characteristic plants including banian, daffodil, jasmine and Bougainvillea speetabilis.

Slated to run until October, the expo will exhibit the latest achievements in floriculture and fruit and vegetable farming at the foot of the Great Wall in northwest Beijing's Yanqing District.

This is the second time for China to hold such a high-level horticulture expo. The southwestern Chinese city of Kunming held the expo in 1999.
