Cultural fair ends with fruitful results

The 11th Cross-Straits Cultural Industries Fair concluded in Xiamen, a port city in East China's Fujian province on Nov 5.

The four-day event saw the inking of contracts worth 25.35 billion yuan ($ 3.66 billion) and drew more than 400,000 visitors in total,according to its organizing committee.

Occupying 73,000 square meters, the fair is composed of 11 pavilions with 3,440 booths. A total of 424 Taiwan businesses attended the fair, displaying over 10,000 pieces of exhibits from the island.

The event is organized by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Radio and Television Administration and Fujian's Provincial People's Government.
