Fuzhou International Airport launched five charter routes to international destinations in July ahead of the summer vacation travel rush.

The extra international routes will connect the Fujian capital city to Moscow, Nha Trang in Vietnam, Manado in Indonesia, Chiang Mai in Thailand, and Cairo (Aswan) in Egypt. The Moscow and Chiang Mai routes have already started operation.

Russia’s VIM Airlines operates the Fuzhou-Moscow route once a week on Sunday. This is the first direct flight between Fuzhou and Moscow. The trip to Moscow is nine hours and 50 minutes, up to 12 hours fewer than other routes, while the return trip takes merely eight hours and 50 minutes. The route can also be extended to Liege in Belgium.
